The 1st XI played top four side Ards away on Saturday and continued their excellent recent run by recording a 1-1 draw. Ards dominated long spells of the first half but some good defending and excellent goalkeeping from Ashley McIlroy (pictured right) restricted the home side to only a one goal lead at half-time. Queen's were much better after the break and had already created and missed a number of good chances before Hannah McMillan scored from a rebound off the goalkeeper with 13 minutes to go. QUB conceded too many penalty corners from then on but resolute defending and further good saves from McIlroy allowed them to hold on for an impressive away point.

 

The 2nd XI has struggled all season to get a settled squad and was once more depleted for the home match with Armagh. There was little between the two teams but Armagh's finishing was much more clinical and they ran out 3-1 winners - the QUB goal was scored by Linzi Dodds.
